The Three Cities can be reached by ferry from La Valeta and are best explored on foot. The Hypogeum of Hal-Saflieni is a prehistoric underground temple and can only be visited by booking a tour in advance. The Tarxien Temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are open from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The entrance fee is €6 for adults and €4.50 for students and senior citizens.
